Matthew Newton MCSP, MMACP, MIMTA

Matthew Newton MCSP, MMACP, MIMTAMatthew qualified from Sheffield in 1988. Since then he has gained experience in various places around the UK and has also worked in Canada. In 2001 he completed an internationally recognised qualification in spinal and joint manipulation. He has since gone on to become an international lecturer in the subject as an International Assistant Maitland Tutor frequently teaching post graduate Physiotherapists in the UK and abroad. He has also successfully completed the requirements to become a member of the MACP (Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists), membership of which has only been achieved by approximately 2% of the UK's Physiotherapists. He is an advocate of manual therapy applied appropriately on the basis of sound clinical reasoning and individual patient need.He has worked independently as a private practitioner since 1998. In addition he also works at Doncaster Royal Infirmary as a lead clinician in the physiotherapy department and as a specialist Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Practitioner. In this role he has gained experience in requesting investigations such as blood tests, x-rays, MRI scans and more. He is also qualified in the administration of steroid injections. As a manual therapist Matthew is dedicated to a patient focused hands on approach and is committed to providing evidence based, quality care to all patients. He specialises in the treatment of spinal disorders, headaches, whiplash injuries and upper and lower limb joint problems.

Caroline Hennigan BSc (Hons), MCSP

Caroline Hennigan BSc (Hons), MCSPCaroline qualified as a Physiotherapist from Nottingham University in 1999 and has since had a full and varied career. After gaining a firm foundation at Doncaster Royal Infirmary she further specialised in the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Caroline's clinical skills have been continually updated via post graduate education and independent study. She has also worked as an undergraduate clinical educator and a mentor to qualified Physiotherapists. She quickly grew into a Senior post at DRI where she provided a strong lead in the management of a busy department. Caroline has also attended the post graduate courses of the IMTA system and has thereby developed highly skilled manual therapy abilities. This has lead to her having a key role in the clinical development of colleagues with formal teaching and clinical supervision.Caroline has also worked in the private sector since 2003. This has been, and remains, an exciting part of her career giving her the opportunity to develop a quality, patient centred business providing timely intervention to patients from a wide range of sources. Caroline has a keen interest in looking at ways of how to continue to expand our service to best meet the needs of patients in the future.
